Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

P.S.H.E.

Today we learned about the difference between equality and equity. In the first photo, the task the children have is the same, which makes it equal, however one child cannot reach the task, so it is still unfair. In the second photo both children can reach the task, as appropriate support has been given. This is equity. Which do you think is most fair?

We had a lovely first day back at school and played lots of games to get to know each other again and even made some new friends! Of course, you can see some 'old friends' were also pleased to see each other!
