Week 4

We have been truly blessed with another week of beautiful sunshine and the children have been shining themselves too! We have been keeping a close eye on our sunflower seeds and been using diaries to check off the days looking for the first sign of a shoot. These will be coming home with the children today so please continue to use the calendar they have, to note any changes/growth. We would love to keep updated with their sunflower progress so please send tapestry updates for us to share with the class. We have also had our class caterpillars arrive. they were tiny at the beginning of the week but they have already grown considerably. the children have really enjoyed noticing these changes using the magnifying glasses.

This week our text has been "Martha maps it out". The children have been very busy making and labelling their own maps. We have also been discussing our town of Poynton. We have enjoyed looking at your landmark photos and discussing where they are in Poynton and where we like to visit in the village.

This week in RE we learnt about the Ascension of Jesus to heaven. We made a craft depiction of the story and retold it for our friends.
