Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Week 3

This week has been a very busy one again!

We have been using the book Real Superheroes to look at the work of the emergency services and how they help us! We explored the role of doctors, nurses fire fighters amongst others. The children had the opportunity to dress up in uniforms and talk about the jobs that they do. We have also had exciting visits from people to talk about their job, Mrs Verghese talked abut her work with children overseas and Mr Danton talked about his role as a pilot. We loved hearing about wat they do and thank them for giving up their time. If you have an interesting job that you would like to chat to the children about, please get in contact.

In RE we listened to the story of Jesus choosing his disciples and then we acted it out. We thought about our friends and why they make good friends.

We have enjoyed Beegu as our drawing club story and they loved drawing new aliens to be friends with Beegu! They are really trying hard with sounding out to write captions for their pictures. Well done Willow Class!
