Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Week 2

We have had a lovely sunny week this week, perfect for exploring our school grounds. We went on a welly walk to look for signs of spring (we saw plenty!) and then looked at our shadows on the playground. We enjoyed making different shapes and then have our friends draw round us with chalks onto the playground we loved seeing your fabulous costumes for Workd Book Day and showing them off in the assembly. The children enjoyed listening to the teachers perform a story too!

We have enjoyed listening to the story of Zacchaeus and we thought about how he showed he was sorry for the wrong choices he had made. We learnt how Jesus always wants to be our friend and encourages us to do the right thing. We made a representation of the story and retold it.

We have also had the pleasure of Edith's mum being our mystery reader this week. As it was National wildlife day, she read us a story called 'Gorilla' and told us all about a gorilla she has adopted which is really exciting! Thank you for giving up your time. If you would like to be a mystery reader please let us know.
