Celebrating 50 Years of St Pauls!

This year marks 50 Years since we first opened our doors to the children of Poynton. To celebrate this occasion we are holding a few events over the last week of term.

Monday 15 July - Whole School Picnic

A really exciting part of our celebrations for the 50th anniversary of St Paul's is going to be a whole school picnic on Monday 15th July. We invite all children to bring a packed lunch to school that day so we can enjoy lunch together as a school. It will hopefully be a fun and memorable event for both staff and pupils.

Wednesday 17 July – Mass followed by Time Capsule Burial

We will be holding a special Mass at 9.30am in the school hall to mark the end of the school year and our 50th celebrations.

The children are putting together a time capsule to be buried in our garden. Children are invited to bring in a small (no bigger than palm size) item that is relevant to them in life right now.

Thursday 18 July – School Disco

On Thursday 18th July the PTA will be holding a school disco, 3.15pm - 5.30pm. If anyone would like to volunteer to help at this event then please contact the School office. This will be a chargeable event with more details to follow.

Poynton Show Art Competition Winners

A big thank you to all the children who submitted entries for the Poynton Show Art competition.

All entries will be on display in the Creative Crafts marquee at the Show and will make a wonderful exhibition of Poynton children's talent.

Congratulations to the two winners from St Pauls Ava in Reception and Joseph in Year 3, who will both receive certificates and everyone who took part will receive a wristband. A rosette will be displayed with the pictures that came 1st and 2nd and can be collected and worn at the Show.

Poynton show is a fantastic family day out, in Creative Hobbies we are providing various free craft activities for children to get involved in and we hope these will include pebble painting, making friendship bracelets, weaving and quilling.

The Show is on Saturday 24th August and the website has details and entry forms of all the classes both children and adults can enter.
