PE:

It would be lovely to see some photos or videos of what you do for your daily exercise, whether it's Joe Wicks, a bike ride, walk, or something else, so that we can put them the PE section of our class pages.  You can email or post to the class blog. 

 

English:

Have a look at the document below for lesson 2 of 'The Door' writing unit.  This is in your most recent learning pack, if you requested one the other week.

English / Art: Design your own magical door

Maths

Choose your activity from the choices below: 

  • Year 5/6: Continue your learning about grid method by solving some problems where you will draw your own grids to calculate the multiplications.
  • Year 5/6 - Convert between improper fractions and mixed numbers: Watch the video (from the link under the lesson sheets) and complete questions 1 and 2 of the first page, then questions 1 and 2 of the third page.   For more of a challenge, try any of the other questions on pages 2 and 4.  Mark your work.
  • Year 6 -  Divide fractions by whole numbers: Watch the Youtube video to introduce the song, the watch the Year 6 video (link under the sheets), while you have a go at the first page.  For further challenge try the second sheet. Mark your work.

Click 'start lesson' and read the instructions under the video player.  Watch the video and enjoy the enthusiasm of music teacher Miss Roberts, while learning all about pulse and rhythm...one for the whole family.  ;) 

 

If you want to extend this, why not use what you learned about graphic scores in our online learning last term, and compose your own piece using pulse and rhythm.  You could use what you learned about Audacity to record it!
