Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Thursday 7th January

Good morning Willow class! Hope you are all safe and well. This morning you have phonics and maths and I have also included an RE activity as this is what we usually do on a Thursday. Thank you for using Tapestry and the class email to show us what you have been learning this week. We have been able to give so many of you stars for your brilliant efforts. Have a lovely day.

Good morning!

Phonics

Today's phonics videos are on the link below:

Please follow the set 1 speed sounds lesson - today's sound is 's' and then join in with the set 1 word time lesson and the set 1 spelling lesson - this one does go quite quickly but you can pause it if you need a little more time to write the words. Remember this is just like our spelling of words that we normally do each morning in school!

If you know all your set 1 sounds please join the set 2 speed sounds lesson - today's sound is 'igh'

Just a reminder the new lessons appear from 9.30am each morning and are available for 24 hours so you can view them at any time of the day. smiley

Reception maths activity.

Please watch the session 3 video and then complete the follow up activities on the sheet below.

Year 1 maths

Please watch the video first and the complete the sheet. The questions get progressively tricky. The expectation is that the activity should take 30 minutes so wherever you are up to by this point, stop. If you wish to come back to it later on in the day you can! You can use items to help you count that you have in your house eg pencils, pasta or teddies!

RE activity

Our new RE topic this half term is Families and Celebrations. We will be looking at our own families and hearing stories about Jesus and his family.

Today's activity is to draw a picture of a favourite time you have spent with your own family. It might have been on holiday or a day trip or maybe when you all watch a family film. Write a sentence to describe what is happening in your picture. If you want to tell me more about your favourite family time you can always ask a grown up to write down what you have to say!
