Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

The world

In Drake class we made bread. We watched how it rose and then tasted it once it was cooked.

We looked closely at the butterfly as it hatched from its cocoon

Looking for insects outside.

We tested the objects to see if they were magnetic or not

We sorted the everyday objects according to what they were made of.

We tested a range of different material to see which were waterproof or not to help fix the torn umbrella

We have been enjoying the winter weather working together to build snowmen and exploring the snow!

We went on a winter welly walk to see if we could spot signs of winter.

We made porridge in groups as we have been learning the story of Goldilocks and the theee bears in our talk for writing. We looked at the oats when they came out the packet and how they had changed after we added milk and cooked them. We added our choice of toppings and tasted it. Delicious!

In our Mad Science assembly we learn all about energy.

We tested the objects to see if they were magnetic or non-magnetic

We took part in a hunt around the 'hutch' to find certain objects and draw them on our sheet
