Wednesday 10th February

The Wednesday Word

Join Mrs Armstrong-Boyle for the Wednesday Word by following the link to the Loom below.

Multiplication Practice

I've set some Mymaths for practising times tables. If you would also like to do a written challenge, try the sheets below. Read the instructions at the top of the page.

Maths

L.O. To convert between metres and centimetres.

  1. Watch the video below for a brief introduction to metres and centimetres.
  2. Play the Kahoot from the link below. There is some important information about converting metres to centimetres in this quiz so you do need to work through it.
  3. Complete the sheet from below. If you don't have a printer, you can just show your working on paper.

If you are able to, you can find larger items around your house or garden to measure using metres and centimetres. To challenge yourself, write each measurement as metres and centimetres and also as just centimetres (you could also use decimals if you want too!)

Foe example: table - 1m 80cm - 180cm - 1.8m

Science

L.O. To consolidate learning about States of Matter

Last week, your parents should have received an email about joining Seneca learning.

For today's science lesson, we are going to try to get it to work! There is a link on my blog to join the activity. There is some information at the beginning of each section, then there are multiple choice questions and some that you have to write the words in. I hope that it works and that it is easy to navigate!
