Thursday Morning Collective Worship

I have put the videos for this morning's collective worship on our video page. To find this got to the main website- learning- St Paul's Videos-Galileo Class- Collective Worship-The Garden of Gethsemane. It is in 3 parts and will hopefully put you into the garden with Jesus to write your senses poem today.

Below I include the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane for you to read and also a video clip from 'The Miracle Maker' DVD.

My Garden Of Gethsemane Senses Poem

Today we will complete our next senses poem on what it would have been like to have been in the garden with Jesus, or to watch what was happening.

Imagine what you would have seen, heard, smelt, tasted and touched had you been there. REMEMBER, you can use your description to be more symbolic and to show your understanding of the meaning behind the story.

  • Year 1 concentrate on clearly written and punctuated sentences; do your best 'get ready line handwritng' and
  • Year 2 be creative with your word choices; your adjectives help sheet may come in handy.

I enclose my example below and a blank worksheet should you wish to print it out.

If not, use the sentence starters as a scaffold and write your poem into your green book.

The Garden Of Gethsemane Triptych

Today we will create the front left hand window of our triptych. I imagine they are looking lovely. I can't wait to see our finished pieces. I include some images of Jesus in the Garden that will hopefull inspire you.
