Monday 22nd February

Good morning! If you haven't checked the blog for today, please head over there now as the timetable for this week's Zoom sessions has been posted, along with the Zahoot results and some 'quality cat content'.

Marking Division Maths Homework

You are going to use an online calculator to do this.

  1. The link below, is a short division calculator.  Click on it.
  2. Put the dividend (largest number) in the top box.
  3. Put the divisor (smaller number) in the second box.
  4. Click '=Calculate'.  The quotient (answer) will be shown, both as a decimal and as an integer (whole number) with the remainder underneath.
  5. You can now mark your answers and then record your scores on the padlet below.  (Please do this, even if you have sent photos.)

This Week's Maths Homework - Multiplication

  • For the next few weeks, instead of the usual '4-operations' we will be focusing on multiplication.  Each week the questions will get harder, in each group.
  • You must use the formal written method of multiplication to work these questions out and present your work correctly.
  • I have posted videos below to show you how to present your calculation.
  • Drop in maths Zoom sessions this week will also be covering this strategy.
  • If you usually work with Mrs Charmer, you have been set 'Number Club' multiplication.
