  • Stanley Head River Study

    As a link to our geography topic, we completed a river study. We examined the source of the River Dane and discovered the spongelike properties of peat. Our second stop was a confluence where a tributary joined the main river. The children had the opportunity to measure the width, depth and speed of the river as well as seeing the effects of erosion.

    We all enjoyed celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite Book characters. Well done to everyone for the fantastic effort that you made with your costumes. The children listened to the story of Charlie Cook's Favourite Book by Julia Donaldson performed by the staff!

  • Brighten up this harvest

    The children enjoyed dressing up in bright colours to support CAFOD's harvest appeal, Brigten Up This Harvest. The money raised from donations will help children in Bolivia. Watch this space to find out the total amount raised. 

  • Gymnastics Performance

    Parents were invited to watch a performance by the children who take part in gymnastics club on Monday afternoons. Well done to all involved!
  • Cookery club

    The cookery club, led by Mrs Caddick-Brown, Miss Johnson and Mrs Downes, treated some staff, parents and governors to a special meal which they had prepared and cooked. 
  • Bible Encounter

    We 'traveled back in time' with Mr Frazer who told us about shepherds during the time of Jesus and how they looked after their sheep. We then heard the story of the Good Shepherd and the Lost Sheep and were reminded that Jesus loves and cares for each one of us, just as the Shepherd searched for the missing sheep and celebrated when it was found.
