PE and Sport Premium

St Paul’s enjoys a rich sports curriculum across all ages.  All children are encouraged to take part in sporting activities at both inter and intra level. We are part of several sports partnerships which allows us the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of different sporting opportunities and competitions at different levels.

Every class takes part in 2 hours of Physical Education every week. These lessons are delivered by our highly skilled teachers, who have benefitted from training which was funded by the government Sport Premium Grant (see below), as well as sports specialists who deliver bespoke packages for our school.

We are particularly proud of the impact of specialist Lacrosse coaching, which was funded by this grant.  19 of our current pupils, boys and girls (Y2-Y6) are now members of a local Lacrosse club and 21 past pupils! 5 of these female past pupils are now representing Cheshire on their B team!

Children in Years 3 and 4 take part in swimming lessons which last for 45 minutes and take place from September to the end of term in December each year.
